Position: Day Camp Counsellor Location: Petrolia YMCA Start Date: June 1, 2026 End Date: August 31, 2026 Salary: $17.60/ hourAs part of your total compensation:

In this role, you will:

A Day Camp Counsellor will provide high quality day camp programing to children between 4 to 16 years old
Prepare and deliver exceptional day camp programming
Ensure safety and well-being of campers
Willing to work in indoor, outdoor and aquatic environments
Be on your feet for the majority of the workday, walking, running, jumping, active playing. At locations that have pools or splash pads, staff are expected to be in the water with the children
Participation in weekly staff meetings
Follow all Health & Safety and Child Protection policies to keep the camp a safe place for all

What you need to succeed:

Experience working with children in a Day Camp Setting
Current Emergency First Aid or higher
Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening as per cure
A dedication to demonstrate the YMCA core values.
