As our Proposal Manager, you will lead the development of competitive, high quality proposal submissions that meet customer needs and align with company standards. You will direct the preparation of complete proposal packages including cost estimates, pricing approvals, risk registers and commercial documentation, while ensuring consistency with corporate governance and established processes. Working closely with Business Development, Legal, Operations and Project teams, you will build strong internal and customer relationships that support successful contract awards and repeat business opportunities.Location:On-site, Cambridge ONYour Day to Day as our Proposal Manager:Lead the development of major, high value proposals from strategy through submission, ensuring alignment with company standards and customer expectations.Coordinate cross functional teams to build complete proposals, cost estimates, pricing approvals and supporting documentation.Drive commercial strategy during the bid phase, partnering with Business Line Managers, Account Management, Legal and Supply Chain.Support and participate in customer negotiations, including contract terms and conditions positioning.Oversee risk identification and mitigation planning to balance competitiveness with sound commercial judgment.Provide guidance on sourcing strategies and subcontract terms to reduce cost and risk exposure.Ensure seamless handover to project teams and provide ongoing commercial support, including claims assistance.Required Qualifications:Senior role within the Proposal Management team with significant responsibility for major bids.Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent, with MBA or postgraduate business degree considered an asset.5–10 years of relevant experience with strong understanding of project management principles.Excellent relationship building, influencing, and negotiation skills with clear written and verbal communication.Team player, mentor, and keen learner with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.Ability to work under pressure, manage tight schedules, and travel as required.PMP designation or in progress preferred.Professional and diplomatic with a customer-focused mindset.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and strong understanding of contract terms and conditions.Leadership skills including planning, delegation, accountability, and driving change.WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU: Ensuring the well-being of our employees is our priority and we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits for our employees and their families.
