One of our clients in wood products industry is seeking Senior Cyber Security Architect. The individual will play a crucial role in protecting the digital infrastructure. Your responsibilities include designing, developing, and deploying robust security solutions to ensure the safety of Client’s digital assets. You will optimize and effectively manage security tools, enhancing their functionality and performance. In your role as a key advisor, you will collaborate with various departments to embed security measures throughout the IT processes, improve security alert mechanisms, advance the use of security technologies, seek ways to automate security procedures, and support Incident Response team.This pivotal position is essential in defending organization against the continuously changing landscape of cyber threats. You will report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).Location: Vancouver BC or (on site)Compensation:$90,000 - $110,000 depending on skills and experience. Plus other benefitsKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and upkeep security measures to safeguard our data and systems.Administer and enhance SIEM solutions for effective security event analysis and correlation.Create and update playbooks for automated security incident response.Regularly assess SIEM and playbook configurations for maximum efficiency.Seek integration and automation opportunities within our security framework.Manage and refine the use of security tools, including Zscaler and Sentinel technologies.Spearhead security projects to mitigate risks and counter new threats.Investigate notable security events and guide Cyber Security Analysts.Offer technical security support to IT personnel and users.Develop security metrics to evaluate our security stance.Stay abreast of emerging security trends, technologies, and regulations.Mentor and guide members of the security team.Position RequirementsBachelor's or higher degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Relevant work experience can substitute for formal education.At least 5 years of experience in information security, with a focus on security engineering.Deep understanding of security principles and practices.Proficiency with SIEM tools, such as Microsoft Sentinel.Familiarity with zero-trust platforms like Zscaler.Skilled in developing and maintaining security playbooks.Expertise in optimizing security tool usage.Proficiency in UNIX and Windows operating systems.Experience with scripting or other programming languages.Ability to integrate and automate security tools.Competence in evaluating new security technologies.Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Team-oriented with leadership abilities for cross-functional collaboration.Knowledge of cloud computing security is advantageous.
