- Interface with internal technical staff and stakeholders to ensure the program is effectively implemented.
- Ensure compliance of the program at the Federal, Provincial and Municipal government level.
- Monitor invoicing, develop financial forecasts and ensure adherence to yearly budgets.
- Provide oversight of environmental concerns/constraints and customer/ landowner interactions.
- Provide contractor oversight, ensuring all safety and environmental processes are followed.
- Travel throughout Nova Scotia is a requirement with the potential for overnight stays.
- Support storm restoration efforts, as needed.
- Hold a degree in forestry from an accredited university or a diploma in forest technology from a recognized institution.
- Valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License with a minimum of 2 years driving experience and provide a driver’s abstract satisfactory to NSPI.
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills and the ability to express yourself clearly and confidently.
- Capable of handling challenging customer situations and performing effectively under pressure while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Able to work with minimum supervision, display excellent knowledge of company rules and regulations, and work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Proficient use of databases and tools such as Excel, mobile technologies, and ESRI applications including ArcPro and Field Maps
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and adjust schedules as required.
- The following skills/ qualifications would be considered an asset: NS Herbicide Applicator Licence, International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certification, Registered Professional Forester (RPF) designation.
