- Job Description
- Support the delivery of transportation projects on local, collector, and arterial roads for various municipal clients throughout Ontario, including assisting with schedules, budgets, and quality control processes
- Prepare detailed engineering designs and contract documents for urban and rural road construction and reconstruction projects
- Assist with the design of municipal infrastructure including roadworks, watermains, storm and sanitary sewers, and related components
- Coordinate with internal team members, external consultants, and clients to support project delivery and resolve design challenges
- Participate in the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and tender documents
- Provide support during tendering and construction phases, including responding to contractor inquiries and reviewing shop drawings
- Liaise with municipalities and regulatory authorities to support the permit and approval process
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment and support the development of junior staff when required
- Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Approximately 5 years of experience in transportation or municipal road design, preferably in Ontario
- Experience preparing engineering drawings and contract documents for municipal infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of municipal design standards and applicable regulations in Ontario
- Progress toward P.Eng. (or recently licensed as a P.Eng.) in Ontario is considered an asset
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Microsoft Office (experience with MS Project is an asset)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
