- Manage litigation files in areas such as commercial, civil, regulatory, and administrative disputes.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other court documents with accuracy and clarity.
- Prepare for and attend court proceedings, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations, both independently and in collaboration with senior lawyers.
- Develop and implement litigation strategies to effectively advocate for client interests.
- Participate in client meetings, deliver high-quality legal advice, and build long-term client relationships.
- Stay abreast of changes in relevant legislation and case law, and contribute to ongoing legal education within the team.
- Support business development efforts, including participating in industry events, preparing articles, and fostering professional relationships.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil and commercial litigation.
- Strong understanding of complex commercial litigation processes and strategies.
- Proven ability to handle diverse and high-stakes legal disputes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for drafting legal documents and presenting arguments.
- Strong analytical and research skills to evaluate case details and legal precedents.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage with clients effectively.
- Licensed to practice law in the province of Ontario.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
