Job DescriptionWHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?We are seeking a Salesforce DevOps Engineer to help automate and streamline the Salesforce development lifecycle. The role will focus on implementing CI/CD pipelines, managing release processes, and improving deployment reliability for Salesforce and nCino platforms.This role is critical to:Implementing true CI/CD with end-to-end automation from code commit to productionReducing deployment cycle times by through automation and optimized processesEstablishing enterprise-grade sandbox strategies and environment governanceEnforcing automated quality gates, static code analysis (SCA), code coverage, and security scanning at every stageThe DevOps Engineer will focus on the following:Drive cultural change toward automation and DevOps best practicesAutomate IT processes and standardize the DevOps tool chainCollect and report on metrics across Dev, Sec & Ops (deployment frequency, lead time, MTTR, change failure rate)Incubate, release, and support development projectsIntegrate toolsets to best support DevOps and continuous deploymentEnsure compliance with banking regulations throughout the deployment lifecycleWHAT WILL YOU DO?CI/CD Pipeline & Automation:Design and manage enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deploymentsConfigure and maintain DevOps tools such as Copado, Autorabit, Flosum, or GearsetAutomate end-to-end deployment workflowsAutomate deployments across development, QA, UAT, staging, and production environmentsImplement automated rollback and disaster recovery mechanismsReduce manual deployment steps through automationVersion Control & Release Management:Implement version control strategies using Git-based repositoriesSupport Salesforce developers with branching strategies, merge conflict resolution, and release managementManage release trains and coordinate multi-team deploymentsCoordinate with Change Advisory Board (CAB) for production deploymentsQuality Gates & Security:Implement automated testing and code quality checks in the CI/CD pipelineConfigure and enforce Static Code Analysis (SCA) tools: PMD, Checkmarx, CodeScan, or SonarQubeIntegrate security scanning tools (SAST/DAST) to detect vulnerabilities before deploymentEnforce code coverage thresholdsSandbox Strategy & Environment Management:Design and implement comprehensive sandbox governance strategy with refresh schedules and automationManage full sandbox lifecycle across developer, partial, full, and scratch orgsManage environment synchronization and metadata deploymentEstablish clear promotion pathsMonitoring & Continuous Improvement:Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot deployment failuresContinually evaluate build and deployment procedures for opportunities to optimize, streamline, and automateTrack and report on key DevOps metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, MTTR, change failure rate)Collaboration & Platform Engineering:Partner with platform engineering teams to improve platform reliability and scalabilityEnforce policies, standards, and procedures for best practicesCreate and maintain comprehensive DevOps technical documentationSupport and continuously improve DevOps processes and proceduresProvide training and enablement to development teamsWHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?Must Have:5–8 years of experience in DevOps, release engineering, or platform engineering3+ years hands-on experience with Salesforce deployment tools such as Copado (preferred), Flosum, Autorabit, or Gearset2+ years working in regulated industries (banking, financial services, healthcare, or insurance)Proven track record of implementing CI/CD pipelines that reduced deployment timesExperience implementing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce with full automationExpert-level knowledge of Git version control and branching strategiesDeep understanding of Salesforce metadata API, packaging, and deployment processesExperience with Salesforce DX (SFDX), scratch orgs, and source-driven developmentKnowledge of Salesforce governor limits, performance optimization, and platform constraintsExperience implementing Static Code Analysis (SCA) tools: PMD, Checkmarx, CodeScan, or SonarQubeExperience working within Change Advisory Board (CAB) processesUnderstanding of audit trails, segregation of duties, and access controlsStrong communication skills to bridge technical and business stakeholdersNice to Have:Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOpsSalesforce Administrator or Platform Developer I/II certificationSalesforce DevOps certifications (Copado Deployer, Autorabit Certified Professional)Experience supporting nCino deployments in enterprise banking environmentsUnderstanding of banking applications (Commercial Lending, Retail Banking, Wealth Management)Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) or nCino platformKnowledge of automated testing frameworks (Jest, Selenium, Apex Test Framework)Knowledge of scripting/automation: Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Node.jsFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum
