In a typical day, YOU will:Demonstrates safe work and environmentally sound behaviors at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy, Programs, and initiatives.Schedules and performs Product Link installations and troubleshooting in the field.Conduct repairs to minimize downtime and reduce costs for the CustomerCompletes service reports and work order details efficientlyComplete before failure CAT Service LettersComplete equipment inspections as requiredPerform maintenance inspectionsPerform after hours/on-call/overnight rotations and travel to assigned territories when required.Must-haves for this role:Post Secondary Education (A Licensed Heavy Equipment Technician would be an asset).Highly safety conscious with solid experience with electrical and electronic troubleshootingExperience in the Heavy Equipment and Construction/Mining industries is an asset.Proficient in using basic hand and power tools (including multi-meter) for various maintenance and repair tasksSelf-motivated with strong initiative, high integrity, and the ability to make independent decisionsCustomer Centric with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsHigh attention to detail and analytical with excellent relationship managementEffective time management and planning with the ability to quickly adapt to multiple and often changing schedules and prioritiesOrganized with the ability to maintain a high level of customer service in a fast paced, deadline driven workforcePositive team player and proactive in delivering solutions with a sense of urgencyProcess improvement mindset with strong problem-solving abilitiesWell-developed computer skills and familiarity with Cat Systems would be an assetWilling and able to work flexible hours and travel extensively in support of business requirementsA valid Full Class G Driver's License and clean Driver's AbstractAbout Toromont CatWith over 4,000 employees and 56 locations from Manitoba to Newfoundland, Toromont Cat has a proven track record, industry knowledge, dealership infrastructure, and service mindset to ensure our Construction, Mining, and Power Generation customers succeed.
