Job Description:As a Resident Heavy Duty Mechanic, you possess a strong business acumen, are solution driven and motivated to exceed our customer's expectations.What your day looks like:Field diagnosis and running repairs of CAT General Line and Construction EquipmentInterface with customers, products and sales supportLarge‑scale overhauls and rebuildsComponent replacementsCompleting required paperwork and maintaining clear customer communicationQualifications:Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification (Red Seal)Valid Class 5 drivers’ license with successful drivers’ abstractMinimum of 5 years’ experience repairing CAT equipment, 2+ years field experience, other dealer lines of equipment will be consideredStrong organizational, interpersonal and communication skillsSelf-motivated and computer literateStrong experience with: Service Information Systems, Electronic Technician and SalesforceAbility to work safely with minimal supervisionImportant Details:Please be advised, the successful candidate will reside in the Dawson Creek / South Peace RegionThis position will work a Monday to Friday day shiftMust be able and willing to travel to and from customer sites across our territoryTooled company truck supplied, hotel & per diem or camp when applicableA condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicableUnion Membership: This is a unionized position.
