Provide mailroom support and processing basic underwriting functions with minimal supervision. Handles complex processing transactions and provides technical support. Apply knowledge of rating plans and underwriting philosophy to perform job functions. Provides assistance to resolve problems and provide excellent customer service.What Will You Do?Mail pickup, sort and delivery.Work registration and distribution.Pull file requests and maintain central files.Scanning, distribution, and e-filing.Policy typing assembly and recreation.Typing of cancellations, ID cards, etc.Routine, non-complex data entry for policy changes (e.g. cancellations and mortgagee changes).Coordinate photo inspections.Coordinate central photocopy requests.Order supplies and coordinate equipment repair requests.Communicate with team members, agents and customers to obtain necessary information.Operation of mailroom equipment.Printing and distribution of Daily OutputProcess and advise on all types of transactionsPerform data entry by inputting transactions for insurance policies, e.g., New Business, Changes, Cancellations and Renewals, Quotes, etc.Review, analyze, select, reject and price insurance risks referred by brokers and internal staff within delegated authority levelsObtain necessary information from brokers/insured's to process transactions correctly in a timely mannerCorrect processing edit errorsMake underwriting decisions within delegated underwriter authority levelKeeps up to date on regulatory changes, guidelines, etc. and other ongoing trainingAccountable for understanding and supporting emerging business plans and strategiesMay assist with special projects and other functions as neededPerform other duties as assigned.What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?College degree or equivalent work experience preferredInsurance industry study preferredWhat Is in It for You?
