Salary: $28.00-$30.00/hourThis posting is for an existing vacancy.Our client in York Region, ON is actively seeking an Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, career-driven professional who is eager to learn and grow within a successful organization.Position Description:
- Prepare full note disclosure financial statements and supporting working papers on an annual basis
- Prepare accruals, prepaids, and amortization journal entries on a quarterly basis
- AP/AR processing
- Loan Statements
- Perform partnership reporting and assist with consolidated financial statements
- Respond to documentation and explanation requests from external auditors
- Maintain and post journal entries accurately and efficiently
- Utilize advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, financial modeling) for reporting and analysis
- Support other business needs within the Finance group as required
- Perform general accounting and financial reporting tasks
- 3 years of relevant accounting experience
- SAGE is an ASSET
- Post Secondary Education in Business or Accounting
- Pursuing CPA designation (Asset)
- Proficient in Excel with advanced skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, financial modeling)
- System-savvy with a strong understanding of ERP systems (Newstar considered an asset)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative accounting team
