P&L ownership inclusive of Sales, Profit and Orders Entered for all assemblies in Canada. Provide strategic direction and lead the activities of the Canadian Assemblies business toward achieving sales, profit and growth goals while interfacing with operations to continually improving quality, operational efficiencies and customer service levels. Serve as key interface with internal and external stakeholders, sales force, logistics, plants, US divisions, services, central engineering and functional support staff. Develop and manage a forward-looking profit plan; coupled with monthly forecasts to ensure that the overall business is on track to meeting and optimizing its objectives. Develop, in coordination with the marketing Director, an annual strategic plan to determine growth and profit opportunities within the business unit. Expand the product training function to balance internal and external capabilities development. Direct and coordinate all business unit activities to develop and implement long range goals and objectives to meet sales, orders entered, growth and profitability objectives. Foster a zero-incident safety culture through deployment of environment, health and safety initiatives and safety-focused leadership. Cultivate a high-performance work culture through engagement and performance management activities, communications and positive employee relations. Sponsor a competitive and balanced talent strategy focused on attracting, retaining, and developing top talent, and intentionally moving talent to build broader capabilities, enhance the succession pipeline and share best practices. Champion process improvement and business development projects to drive Assemblies business unit towards best-in-class excellence while ensuring that projects are executed on time, within budget, with associated cost savings and no customer impact. Position Criteria: Successfully proven leadership capabilities including experience leading cross-functional teams through influence. Broad understanding of marketing and business planning, as well as management of a large fiscal entity. Strong financial acumen and effective decision-making skills with understanding of financial impact of operations and business decisions. Sound experience as well as understanding of market channel relationships and processes. Good working knowledge of the overall sales function, customer channels to market, and negotiation techniques to maximize growth opportunities. Demonstrated ability in navigating through complexity and ambiguity towards achieving strong business results. Minimum (10) years of experience in sales / marketing, operations, engineering or as a combination of noted disciplines. Minimum (5) years of progressive experience as a leader of people. Legally authorized to work in the Canada without company sponsorship. Effectively drives and manages change, challenges the status quo and champions new and innovative ideas. Demonstrates professional presence, communicates articulately and confidently. Effectively leverages functional and cross-functional resources to solve problems, improve processes and meet objectives. Demonstrated success in effectively and confidently providing “leadership” to employees in a constantly changing environment. An undergraduate degree is required.
