- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science. Engineering or related field
- 5 years’ experience as a Power Builder software engineer, developer, or programmer
- Experience in computer systems in a Windows-based environment
- 5 years developing web applications in Power Builder
- 5 years’ experience developing Windows Applications or Services using .Net
- SQL Server development experience
- Agile/Scrum product development and project methodology
- n-tier/distributed application dev. using web services
- Object-oriented design principles
- XML and various file types
- Experience with Oracle RDBMS administration and Oracle Streams is preferred
- Experience with Oracle Virtual Private Database is preferred
- Experience with reporting tools such as Crystal, Argos and MS suite of reporting tools preferred
- Experience with web application development, HTML, JavaScript, XML, and/or MS .NET development a plus
- Developer to handle PowerBuilder and SQL development for in-house developed complex application with solutions to meet user requirements with focus on delivery within project timelines. Design, code and test components in adherence to development standards and architecture guidelines.
- Responsible for developing new features and system functionalities. Execute entire life cycle from specifications through to testing for technical/back-end components and modules.
- Liaise with technical leads to plan and design future enhancements, translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications. Troubleshoot defects and optimize for enhanced performance.
- Responsible for working with complex SQL based application that was developed in PowerBuilder and has a multitude of functionalities including accounting/billing, procedures, compliance, call center integration and third-party integrations.
