- Be the single point for all site level customer needs
- Review of monthly fleet performance reports, rationalization of invoicing, management of receivables and dispute resolution, parts and service negotiations, bi-annual executive account review, account management and key influencer relationship growth
- Host monthly product problem management meeting with Caterpillar and customer
- Manage, coach and mentor direct reports to achieve site operational metrics including work in progress and repair and return components (Toromont and customer) along with succession planning and career development plans
- Collaborate with Power Systems, Operations Support and own site teams to best determine go to market strategy for parts and service
- Collaborate with Key Account Manager on equipment and technology transaction/quotations/RFP’s
- Develop opportunity targets for Parts and Service growth while maintaining the lowest operating cost of surface and underground equipment
- Parts and Service acting sales representative to quote all surface and underground items, measure undercarriage, value sell Toromont and Caterpillar products and services
- Co-ordinate and track cost per tonne reduction projects with Customer, Toromont and Caterpillar staff including but not limited to FPC, Scale Studies, Site Assessments, etc.
- Plan, budget and manage all site expenses within established parameters to achieve or exceed financial objectives
- Oversee Parts and labour contracts with annual renewals
- Completed post-secondary education with a focus in mining or operations management or heavy equipment
- Minimum 5 years operational experience, preferably in a mining operation
- Health, safety and environmental operational experience with an impeccable performance record
- Superior communication, negotiating, analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong leadership, coaching and team building skills
- Self-motivated and able to adapt to changing and multiple priorities
- Proactive mindset with focus on planning and future dated orders
- Organization skills with the ability to manage often competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline drive environment
- Valid Divers License
- Fly in Fly out schedule
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft applications along with strong computer skills
- Solid business acumen and the ability to oversee financial operations
- Fluently bilingual in English and French an asset
