Facility Location- CalgaryJob Function - Supply ChainEmployee Type - Regular Employee FT SalariedAbout This OpportunityThe Senior Analyst, Regional Procurement is responsible for executing DC & Facilities purchases for the different facilities and distribution center within their respective OU. The SA, Regional Procurement is responsible for purchasing goods and services for the company at the best possible value and quality standards. They oversee creating and monitoring purchase orders, maintaining supplier relationships, and negotiating contracts with vendors. The Senior Analyst is responsible for executing purchases for facilities supplies and facilities maintenance requirements. As well as contribute to improving longer term KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) through leading and supporting various continuous improvement initiatives.Responsibilities
  • Create purchase orders in the appropriate systems.
  • Handle invoices - review, code, consolidate and submit for approval in the appropriate system and process payment.
  • Accountable for obtaining goods and services for the organization for indirect operations.
  • Negotiates and manages short and long-term contracts to ensure optimum costs and reliable supply ensuring that contracts meet all the compliance issues.
  • Obtain and review quotes and seek appropriate approvals for quoted work per the Company policy.
  • Receive purchase requisitions from employees or departments and contact possible vendors that can supply the items.
  • Compare the price quotations of these vendors and choose the most cost-efficient option.
  • Notify the vendor and proceed with the request upon choosing.
  • Support procurement category optimization activities and contributes to the company's savings targets.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing preferably in a consumer-packaged goods industry.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications and SAP.
