With their headquarters in Europe, our client develops and tests equipment that will shape the mining industry for years to come. There are only a handful of companies pushing the limits of BEV mining technology, and their Advanced Engineering team in the Vancouver area are on the forefront of this technology. They currently have an opening for a Systems Engineer to join their growing team.What you will be doing:Develop, review, and maintain requirement and design documentation for battery systems within our client’s application lifecycle management tool, PolarionCoordinate, schedule, and conduct requirement assessments with cross-functional teamsResearch, gather, and analyze system requirements from stakeholdersAct as a liaison between the design team and compliance specialists to ensure products meet regulatory requirementsConfigure workflows and templates to enhance team productivity and project complianceSupport the development of system architecture and designEffectively communicate and collaborate with various people across various divisionWork alongside product designers for the integration of various systems, ensuring compatibility, efficiency, safety, and reliability across the entire product lineWhat you must have:2+ years of related industry experiencePreferred experience using requirement-tracking tools such as Polarion, Doors, Jama, etcEngineering degree, diploma, or similar, preferably in Electrical, Mechatronic, or Systems EngineerinBaseline understanding of vehicle electronics such as, controllers, circuit protection, power distribution modules, relays, sensors, and actuatorKnowledge of power electronics such as inverters, motors, converters, and contactorKnowledge of vehicle wiring such as, low voltage wiring harnesses harness, wire sizing, high voltage cabling, and power distribution unitsKnowledge of vehicle control logic and softwareKnowledge of, and experience with, industry standardsPreferably knowledge of EV batteries and high voltage/high capacity battery systemsMeticulous attention to detailStrong technical writing and presentation skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsLogical and methodical approach to problem-solvingAbility to understand system schematics and diagrams. E.g.
