Estimator - Batiment (Québec)

• Study plans and specifications;

• Interpret the technical specifications of the tender documents;

• Analyze and prepare tender documents;

• Discuss the working methods to be applied, parts of the work to be subcontracted, risks and constraints of the call for tenders;

• Perform quantity calculations;

• Evaluate the costs of materials, labor, and necessary equipment;

• Find prices from subcontractors and suppliers;

• Establish the work schedule;

• Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain file clarifications;

• Participate in mandatory visits and / or client meetings for relevant information;

• Prepare the review of proposals and ensure that the scope of work is complete.

• DEC in building estimation, architecture, civil engineering, or the equivalent;

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position;

• Bilingual (an asset), but proficiency in English language with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is required;

• Secret-level security;

• Proficient in MS Office and MS Project software;

• Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, estimating, drawings and specifications, building material and required standards applicable to discipline.
