We're a passionate group of people who love collaborating on innovative and challenging projects.About this roleWe are recruiting for a Project Manager/Estimator to join our Construction group in Burnaby focused on Commercial, Institutional, and Residential projects.The Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for leading all aspects of the job. This includes estimating, project planning, labour management, procurement, billing, communications, and wrap up of each project.Your responsibilities
  • Work with clients and identify potential business opportunities
  • Estimate projects and submit tenders
  • Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions
  • Maintain good relationship with suppliers, consultants, general contractors and end users
  • Manage project financials (including billing), purchasing, schedules and labour
  • Mitigate project risk, deficiencies and estimate changes as needed
  • Work with internal stakeholders, field staff and customers, to ensure projects remain on track, on budget and meet expectations
  • Be present on jobsites when required and review project upon completion to discuss success and challenges
  • Review the project at completion with the foreman and superintendent to discuss successes and challenges
Your experience and skills
  • Electrical trade certificate, Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Technologist diploma/certificate
  • 3 years' experience in Electrical Project Management and/or Estimating
  • Previous experience with estimating programs, specifically Accubid (Accubid Pro and Change Order) an asset
  • Good computer skills including MS Office, Procore, AutoCAD, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Strong communication and team working skills

Salary range: $85,000 - $120,000 per year plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will commensurate with experience, skills and overall match to the position offered.
