- Must be capable and have extensive working knowledge of material properties, methods and basic set-up and verification, adjustment, and operation of the welding equipment and hand tools.
- Must be able to read blueprints or work instructions, set-up of jigs and fixtures, comprehend the associated welding symbols and welding sequence.
- Must have working knowledge and ability to safely use a variety of hand and power tools
- Ability to weld different types of materials (e.g. carbon steel, stainless steel, copper) and pass applicable welder evaluation.
- Effectively communicate with customers, Engineering Department and the Quality Department discussing design changes or material changes
- Assist in new process development and troubleshooting of products.
- Demonstrated working knowledge in other welding processes such as GMAW & TB.
- Acceptable hand/eye coordination and ability to pass visual acuity test
- Working knowledge of non-destructive testing (e.g. dye-penetrant, magnetic particle) or equivalent certification
- Any and all other responsibilities, in addition to those mentioned above, as assigned by supervisor/manager. Any interpretation/clarification with responsibilities above will be settled by the supervisor/manager.
