- Certified in the knowledge and skill level of all aspects of packaging sanitation.
- Predominantly packaging related cleaning during line shutdowns, however processing cleaning experience will be trained as needed.
- Address audit follow up issues and complete tasks assigned. (i.e. 3rd party audits, self-inspection findings, MSS deep cleaning gaps)
- Ensure compliance with the Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Assisting with Changeover cleaning if on shift & not actively covering other roles.
- Aiding in developing & communicating changeover best practices alongside site Food Safety Leaders
- Communicate PFC policies regarding GMP’s and Food Safety to contractors, visitors and employees.
- Be fully competent in WHMIS legislation and the safe handling and dispensing of chemicals.
- Act as a leader in training and coaching teammates in housekeeping, sanitation, and food safety practices.
- Applicants must have Team experience and be able to demonstrate being able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Mechanical skills and aptitude are necessary for several tasks.
- Problem solving skills with a “hands on” attitude an asset
- Good employment history, as measured by attendance and work performance records.
- Past experience in Food Safety, AIB, forklift operation or Health and Safety would be an asset.
- Must be able to lift/carry 45-60 lbs. constantly for 8-12 hours a day.
- Must be able to push/pull up to 80 lbs. frequently.
- Must be able to perform constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping.
- Completing Safety, Quality/Food Safety training and adhering to the Safety and Food Safety policies that is required for your area.
