- Establish and organize the construction QC function in line with project ITPs, including defining quality checkpoints and staffing requirements.
- Lead and oversee inspections, testing, and verification activities to ensure compliance with design criteria, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
- Manage non-conformance and deficiency processes, including investigation, corrective actions, verification of closure, and record retention.
- Plan, develop, and maintain ITPs and related quality procedures for earthworks, concrete, structures, utilities, and other scopes.
- Coordinate and oversee third‑party and project laboratories, ensuring test plans, turnaround times, and reporting support construction schedules and quality requirements.
- Lead and support internal, client, and external audits, including preparation, field execution, responses, and follow‑up on findings.
- Mentor and coach QC personnel and site teams to embed a strong quality culture and consistent application of quality processes.
- 8+ years of progressive QA/QC experience in the construction industry.
- Post‑secondary education in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Formal training and demonstrated experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems; Lead Auditor or similar certification considered an asset.
- Effective leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence site teams and work collaboratively with clients and partners.
- High attention to detail, strong documentation and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced project environment.
