This position reports to the Production Planning Manager and interacts heavily with the Operations Team.What You Will DoProduction Planning
  • Analyze work orders for completeness of material and resources.
  • Maintain production schedules to align with commitments.
  • Estimate delivery dates for quotes and orders.
  • Maintain plant on-time delivery performance or above 95%.
  • Release jobs to the production floor.
  • Review material resources plans (daily) and identify issues with MRP, transfers, and raw materials
  • Review reports, variances and other data (e.g. scrap, rework) from production.
  • Schedule, expedite, and coordinate the movement of jobs.
Inventory Management
  • Conduct cycle counts for finished goods.
  • Identify losses to inventory and conduct root-cause analysis of such losses.
  • Maintain accurate and adequate WIP inventory for various stocking programs.
  • Monitor raw material inventories and forecast demand.
  • Plan and schedule replenishment jobs.
Continuous Improvement
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the production planning function and processes.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the production planning process.
  • Support and initiate LEAN practices

Knowledge and Experience:
  • High school diploma or a university degree holder
  • Experience in a large industrial manufacturing companies preferred.
  • 1-3 years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment
