The City of Prince Albert is currently accepting applications for casual positions of Pool Attendant in the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department.   • Minimum age 14
  • If under 16:
  • provide a note of parental consent to be employed
  • Obtain a Young Workers Readiness Certificate prior to commencing work
  • Ability to swim 400 meters in a reasonable time
  • Required to obtain the following certifications within the probation period
  • Standard First Aid with CPR C
  • Bronze Cross
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:1. Key Pool Attendant Duties:
  • Ensure compliance with proper safety procedures in assigned areas and to provide assistance to Lifeguards as required.
  • Supervises the activities of patrons using the facility in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • In consultation with Lifeguards, attend to inquiries of patrons
  • Carries out assigned duties to ensure a safe and healthy atmosphere conducive to aquatic fun and education while promoting a leisure atmosphere.
  • Enforces swimming pool rules and regulations as outlined by the City of Prince Albert and the Saskatchewan Public Health Act.
  • Follows City of Prince Albert Aquatic Manual and related Safe Work Practices.
  • Participates in cleaning and disinfection duties.
  • Ensure compliance with proper safety procedures in assigned areas and to provide assistance to Lifeguards as required.

2. General Duties:
  • Participates in ongoing staff in-service training and development programs.
  • Practices and maintains required Aquatics skills.
  • Maintains good public relations with patrons and facility staff.
  • Performs roles and responsibilities as outlined in the City of Prince Albert Aquatic Manual.
  • Completes forms and checklists as required.
  • Follow acts, regulations, bylaws, agreements, policies and procedures.
  • Follow regulations, acts and policies of Occupational Health and Safety
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Participates in ongoing staff in-service training and development programs.
  • Practices and maintains required Aquatics skills.
  • Maintains good public relations with patrons and facility staff.
  • Performs roles and responsibilities as outlined in the City of Prince Albert Aquatic Manual.
