Our client is a growing, dynamic, multi-site firm seeking a motivated Associate Lawyer to join its diverse litigation practice. Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Associate, you will manage files from inception to resolution, including:
  • Advocacy & Litigation: Representing clients in various legal proceedings, including trials, hearings, and mediations.
  • File Management: Overseeing all aspects of a litigation caseload, including client consultations, discovery, and strategic planning.
  • Document Drafting: Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating complex legal documents, pleadings, and motions.
  • Strategic Analysis: Distilling large volumes of information into clear, persuasive advocacy and simplified language for clients.
  • Collaboration: Working alongside internal teams to develop innovative case strategies and uphold exceptional service standards.
Qualifications
  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from an accredited institution.
  • Bar Admission: Member in good standing with the Law Society of New Brunswick (or eligible for immediate transfer).
  • Experience: 4+ years of post-call experience, specifically within a litigation-focused role.
  • Skills: * Proven ability to manage a full caseload independently and efficiently.
  • Superior analytical, legal research, and writing capabilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a client-first mindset.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
