Location: IAMGOLD at the Westwood Mine
Rotation: 7 day on, 7 day off or possibilities 14 day on, 14 day off
Shift Length: 12 hours workers 13 hours supervision
Allowance: Will be provided based on location

The Shift Boss to direct and coordinate the activities and tasks of the work crew, ensuring that all necessary resources are available, and that each member of the crew is working safely.Requirement and Work Experience:Minimum of 10 years hard rock experience with 5 years at the Supervisory levelFamiliar with Occupational Health & Safety and Mines RegulationsBasic computer skillsMechanized (MacLean) BolterThe primary role of the Mechanized Bolter is to inspect existing underground headings, scale loose rocks and install ground support to stabilize rock mass and ensure safety using mechanized bolting equipment.Work Experience:
- 2 years or more experience with mechanized bolting equipment in an underground mining environment
- 2 years or more experience as a Scoop Operator
- 2 years or more experience as a miner or underground Equipment Operator
- 2 years or more experience as a miner or underground Equipment Operator
- Having the authority and responsibility to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
- Following Redpath Canada Limited health and safety standards and systems, including the Five Point Safety System and the Cardinal Rules, and reporting any unsafe acts or conditions
- Responsible to ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment required in the performance of the work.
- Must have knowledge of the WHMIS legislation and know how to effectively use an MSDS sheet.
- Comply with the Act and Mining Regulations that apply to the work area.
- Previous underground mining experience
- Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
