Role: Java Full Stack Developer
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Years of Experience: 6–8 years of development experience
15 years of strong experience in Java/J2EE (as stated under Mandatory Skills)
Offered Pay rate: 53 CAD/hr.on T4 or 57 CAD/hr. on IncorpIntroductionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced developer to join our team. This role requires a strong background in Java/J2EE and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for software development, a collaborative attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality code.Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 6–8 years of development experience
  • Strong experience in Java/J2EE, JUnit, Eclipse, Oracle 19, RESTful services
  • Experience with API Gateways, Messaging, Message Queues, Kafka, Data Event Streaming
  • Knowledge of OAuth, SSO, SAML
  • Strong understanding of OOP concepts and Java design principles
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Agile and DevOps principles
  • Experience with automation tools: Git, Jira, Veracode, Maven, Jenkins
  • BS or MS in Computer Science preferred, or equivalent professional experience
  • Prior work experience in a related industry
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with Java, Spring MVC, Spring Batch, Spring Boot
  • Experience with multithreading, Spring Security, Spring Forms
  • Experience with Angular, SQL Server
  • Experience with Cloud Services, particularly Azure
  • Experience with Apache PySpark, Delta, Databricks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Build, code, test, and maintain high-quality software in the Java codebase
  • Participate in Agile sprints and ceremonies to support rapid iteration
  • Translate user requirements into software requirements
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based software
  • Create and execute automated executable tests
  • Review software frameworks to identify defects and opportunities for improvement
  • Complete documentation for deployment, maintenance, and support
  • Research technical strategies and new technologies to improve development efficiency
