- Plan, execute, and manage battery development projects to meet technical, schedule, and budget targets.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders on funded project activities, ensuring clear communication, timely reporting, and alignment with project objectives.
- Coordinate internal cross-functional teams including R&D, engineering, operations, and quality to drive project success.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, technical reports, progress updates, and milestone tracking.
- Support preparation of project proposals and funding applications for new external initiatives.
- Work closely with technical teams to transition research and prototype concepts into scalable solutions.
- Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate project meetings, design reviews, and stakeholder updates.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, safety protocols, and all project-related requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field); advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project engineering or technical project management, ideally in battery development, energy storage, or advanced manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience managing externally supported or partnership-driven technical projects.
- Strong technical understanding of lithium-ion battery systems and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced development environment.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet) and reporting systems.
- PMP certification is an asset.
