Perform maintenance, repairs, inspections, and servicing on mining equipment and components
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues
Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts, components, and systems in the shop or at customer sites
Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and reliability
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Use micrometers and precision tools to measure tight tolerances
Work independently while also supporting and mentoring mechanics and apprentices in shop and field settings
Qualifications/Requirements
Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic or Millwright certification (Red Seal preferred)
3-5 years of mining or construction equipment experience
Experience with Joy Global equipment is an asset
Strong ability to read and interpret technical manuals, specs, and warranty documentation
Proven troubleshooting skills across mechanical systems common to mining and construction equipment
Customer-facing experience and an understanding of building strong client relationships
Eligible for access to any mine site
Ability to work independently in a shop environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to meet multiple deadlines
