We are proudly the leading diamond specialty concept in North America.Our dynamic team is growing and we are searching for the right individual to join our Spence Studio Team in Vancouver, BC, as a Goldsmith/Diamond Setter. The focus of this job will be diamond setting. The successful candidate will be able to leverage their goldsmithing skills to productively set stones with excellent quality in a fast paced manufacturing environment. This is a long term, rewarding career opportunity.Responsibilities:
  • Set diamonds using pave, burnishing, bead, channel, fancy prong, cutdown and bright cut setting techniques
  • Recommend setting techniques and technical solutions that should be adopted by the craftsmen in higher volume production
  • Inspect mountings prior to setting and review work after setting completion
  • Count and record daily production results, verify accuracy of work orders and reconcile all stones used in work orders
  • Maintain a safe work environment and report any safety issues to the Production Manager
  • Report discrepancies to the Production Manager
  • Other duties as instructed by the Production Manager
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years setting experience
  • Strong setting ability and skills
  • Highly organized and efficient with time
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • GIA certification is an asset
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada full-time
Compensation
  • The pay range for this position is $25 - $38 per hour
  • The successful candidate's starting pay rate will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, and qualifications.
