- Associate’s degree in a technical field, preferably in Industrial Maintenance or Technology.
- CMRP, CMRT, or MRM certifications/diplomas are highly desirable.
- Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing setting, or within a technical or trade discipline.
- Demonstrated experience leading change, applying situational leadership, and building team capability.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Electrical knowledge is an asset.
- Proven ability to relate to and motivate people, with a clear aptitude for training others.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Prior experience working within a structured Continuous Improvement environment (MSE, TPM, Lean Manufacturing).
- Maintain complex machines and systems, adjusting processes to optimize quality and productivity while generating solutions to address complex inefficiencies.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose highly complex equipment and systems to perform preventive repairs. Lead major equipment rebuilds and guide the installation of complex systems.
- Apply mechanical and electrical knowledge to eliminate production problems, improve efficiency, and drive equipment reliability.
- Implement corrective action initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.
- Use predictive maintenance technologies and condition-based monitoring tools, including oil analysis, vibration analysis, and motor circuit analysis, to proactively identify and address issues.
- Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis on major unplanned breakdowns and recurring problems. Drive both corrective and preventive actions to eliminate issues permanently.
- Lead all maintenance activities and effectively manage resources in the assigned area. Execute planned maintenance shutdowns, minimize downtime, and lead all technical continuous improvement efforts.
- Follow the FMOS escalation process for the area, ensuring appropriate and timely escalation and continuous communication.
- Oversee equipment rebuilds, validate results, and manage external contractors involved in area activities.
- Manage the effective and efficient use of all maintenance resources allocated to the area, including ownership of the area's maintenance budget.
- Develop and maintain a skills matrix for the area, identifying required technician training. Maintain criticality assessments and spare parts inventory. Continuously improve equipment through modification design, quotation, execution, and vendor coordination.
- Engage operators and technicians to develop practical solutions and help prioritize actions.
- Ensure compliance with all Quality and Food Safety Policies and applicable procedures.
- Set maintenance priorities for the area and coordinate with the Planner to schedule work, leveraging technical resources as needed. Ensure high work order completion rates and PM quality, including after-hours technical support.
- Work with the Reliability Team to develop and execute 30/60/90-day plans focused on eliminating reliability losses, particularly in Planned and Unplanned Maintenance.
- Own results for reducing reliability losses in both Unplanned and Planned Maintenance for the area.
- Drive improvements in Planned and Unplanned Downtime and own the following metrics:
- Maintenance & Repair costs for the line
- % of Planned Maintenance and PM compliance
- Breakdown reduction
- Represent the maintenance team in daily FMOS meetings, sharing machine performance data and communicating action plans and completed work effectively.
- Investigate and troubleshoot equipment down to the component level.
- Lead the implementation of small-scope projects within the assigned area.
- Participate in MSE Pillar projects as assigned.
- Analyze line data to identify and prioritize loss elimination opportunities.
- Lead root cause problem-solving efforts for key chronic losses affecting the line or department.
- Bonus (AVP) - target bonus of 5% of base pay, depending on company performance
