On Call Receptionist

- Assist visitors by greeting, welcoming and directing them to the correct individual or department.
- Answer, screen and forward any incoming phone calls while presenting essential information when needed.
- Receive and sort daily mail/deliveries/couriers.
- Manage security by following procedures and controlling access.
- Complete other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning, etc.
- Must be available to fill in for vacations, medical leaves, and other absences (holidays are a popular time to be available. A lot of times, absences are unplanned, so the on-call receptionist must be prepared to work “spur of the moment.”
- Perform all other tasks within the scope of the position and skillset as requested and needed.
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalency.
- The Nation is willing to train the right candidate with the passion and ability to take the training.
- Strong customer service skills with demonstrated knowledge of appropriate skills for communicating, especially by phone, with individuals of all ages, especially the elderly population.
- Working Knowledge of standard office equipment, including computer, phone, fax, and photocopier.
- Previous knowledge working with multiline phones.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Resourceful and proactive, able to deal with issues as they arise.
- Capacity to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure.
