- Safely assemble skids and crates for products using specialized tools.
- Measure and cut wood using saws precisely to the dimensions required for the finished product.
- Use nail guns to build skids while strictly following safe work procedures.
- Perform daily pre-use inspections on all hand tools and equipment to ensure safety.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials manually or with lifting equipment.
- Put finished products away into racks, ensuring that weight capacities are never exceeded.
- Securely strap and band finished products onto skids for safe transport.
- Perform detailed quality audits on the condition of goods for outgoing orders.
- Safely operate lifting devices such as Counterbalance Forklifts and Combi-lifts where required.
- Adhere to all established safe working procedures and wear proper safety equipment at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized working area free from debris throughout the shift.
- Proven experience using nail guns and saws is a mandatory requirement.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or woodshop environment is a great asset.
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 25kg repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks for 8 hours.
- A clear criminal record check is required for this position.
- Commitment to wearing all required personal protective equipment, including dual hearing protection.
- Ability to start immediately and work the afternoon shift consistently.
