
Reception supervisor

- Provide outstanding customer service.
- Supervise front desk operations.
- Apply and enforce policies and standards.
- Coach, train, supervise, discipline and motivate front desk staff and night auditors.
- Follow up with customers.
- Manage financial and material resources: budget preparation, inventory management).
- Work in coordination with other departments within the establishment.
- Receive customer feedback and manage, handle and follow up on complaints.
- Master all tasks assigned to receptionists.
- Manage the productivity and performance of the front desk team, bellman, doorman and concierge.
- Manage room inventories.
- 1 to 2 years' experience in a similar position or as a receptionist.
- Knowledge of reception operations and computer systems (e.g. Opera).
- Interpersonal skills and ability to influence and persuade.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to set priorities for self and team members.
- Knowledge of the hotel industry (asset)
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Experience in a unionized environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team.

- DEC (Diploma of Collegial Studies).
- Bilingualism (French-English) is required in this position, as we serve international clients.
- Fluency in other languages is an asset.
