You will work on market-leading technologies such as EVPN, Segment Routing, Multicast in a virtualized, micro-services oriented, container-based system architecture.   • Always continue learning and developing skills in leadership and technologies: system and network virtualization (Containers, SDN, NFV), advanced routing, BGP, Segment Routing, EVPN, MPLS, fast switchover technologies, Ethernet services and more.
  • Explore and implement AI-powered testing tools and techniques to enhance test automation, efficiency, and coverage
  • Leverage AI to develop Automated tests using AI/ML tools, Gen-AI, leading to faster and more efficient testing
  • Trouble shoot customer and Internal reported issues in routing protocol and services; identify root cause, diagnose, debug document, and help developers in faster defect resolution
  • Continuously Enhance test coverage, automation, validation, and documentation to deliver high quality, functionally excellent products
  • Work in an agile development environment and participate in sprint activities to plan and produce rapid cycle, high quality work, co-ordinate QA activities across scrums
Requirements for the Role:
  • Hands-on and in-depth knowledge of EVPN, Segment Routing, MPLS, BGP, ISIS, IPv6 and control plane technologies.
  • Well versed in feature test planning and automation, test methodologies, risk aware testing techniques, defect workflows, test management workflows, tools, and metrics.
  • Experience in Python programming, git, pytest and test automation is must
  • Experience in developing Automated tests using AI, Gen-AI, AI/ML tools is desired
  • Understanding of Software development using AI, AI-driven testing methodologies and AI/ML is desired
  • Customer and Quality champion – be able to review, provide comments and approve Functional specifications, Technical Requirements, Design test plans for high quality product and higher customer satisfaction.
  • Hands-on leader who can root cause and solve complex defects, often working with cross-functional teams, software design and customer support
  • Developed skills as an excellent verbal and written communicator with the ability to influence and the ability to absorb, germinate, and evolve new ideas in collaboration with other contributors
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related discipline. Masters is preferred.
Pay Range:The salary range for this role in Ottawa is $115, 700 - $142, 300Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
