- Seek out new clients and develop new business opportunities.
- Attend conferences and other relevant industry events to develop and maintain relationships with customers and generate more business opportunities and collaborations
- Identify customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align strategies, and connect potential clients to marketing materials
- Follow up with leads generated through marketing efforts
- Perform competitive analysis toward an increased market share
- Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss strategy
- 5 + years of experience in a business development role, preferably in an agency
- A proven track record of successfully managing a team
- Successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation
- Experience selling technology and design services
- Strong public speaking skills and the ability to comfortably deliver presentations to stakeholders
- Experience working with institutional clients
- Experience using Hubspot, Salesforce, or similar software to manage a sales pipeline, rank leads, and prioritize sales efforts
- A strong understanding of the procurement processes
- Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
- Experience selling to the US market
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to travel
- Experience working with public sector and non-profit clients
- Technical curiosity and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English
- Collaborative and open to feedback
