- Provide excellent customer service and act as a key point of contact for clients and team members
- Safely operate equipment including skid steers, loaders, forklifts, and excavators, while ensuring all equipment is used in compliance with SECURE standards and coaching team members as required
- Being accessible and available to address after-hours operational issues as needed.
- Lead and support monitoring, inventory, and inspection of waste containers to ensure proper segregation, compliance, and capacity
- Oversee and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant waste storage area, ensuring containers meet regulatory standards
- Review container contents and paperwork for accuracy, and direct repacking of waste for safe and efficient transportation and disposal
- Lead the preparation of manifests, labels, and required documentation for disposal and recycling activities
- Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture by leading safety meetings, JSAs, FLHAs, and ensuring appropriate PPE use
- Oversee accurate entry of inbound, repacked, and outbound data into the waste tracking system while supporting general labour tasks as needed
- Supporting the Operations Supervisor, including handling delegated responsibilities and working with internal support teams as needed.
- 3–5 years of experience operating heavy equipment, including skid steer, forklift, loader, and excavator
- 3–5 years of waste handling experience
- Knowledge of TDG regulations
- Class 3 license required; Class 1 license considered an asset
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Valid and acceptable driver’s license with successful completion of pre-employment testing
- Physically fit and able to perform physical tasks on a daily basis including lifting, moving containers and other heavy materials, along with the ability to spend a major portion of each day on your feet
- Current and valid safety certifications, including H2S Alive, First Aid Level One C, Confined Space Entry, WHMIS, and TDG
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills and the ability to work long hours in a mentally and physically demanding environment
- Ability to multi-task and demonstrate sound decision-making skills
- Proven ability to work well with limited supervision
