
ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

- Perform data entry tasks related to bookkeeping and administrative functions.
- Handle accounts payable and simple billing tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide weekly support, with additional hours required for coverage during vacations or sick leave.
- Assist in maintaining financial records and ensuring compliance with internal policies.
- Support the primary bookkeeper as needed and provide backup when required.
- Communicate effectively with team members and maintain the confidentiality of financial data.
- Other duties as assigned
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting support preferred.
- Familiarity with PCLaw, Clio, QuickBooks Online, and LEAP is an asset, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
