We’re looking for a Communications and Marketing Coordinator who’s excited to bring ideas to life by creating, curating, editing, publishing, and maintaining digital content for both campaigns and day‑to‑day business. In this role, you’ll be out in the community—attending programs, events, and civic activities—to capture compelling photographs, videos, and written content, including interviews and real‑world experiences. You’ll play an active role in shaping digital communications and marketing strategies, while providing guidance and advice to internal clients and collaborating with colleagues and partners to deliver impactful campaigns. From gathering and refining content to writing, editing, and consolidating a wide range of materials, no two days will be the same. You’ll also coordinate and evaluate event logistics, build strong working relationships with internal and external contacts. Performs related work as required.Qualifications include degree in communications, marketing or a related discipline plus considerable related experience or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience. You have a strong understanding of communications and marketing principles, strategies, and best practices, as well as familiarity with municipal programs, services, and the policies and regulations that guide this work. You enjoy crafting clear, engaging content and can confidently write and edit a wide range of materials for diverse audiences across multiple platforms. Comfortable juggling multiple projects, you’re able to adapt to changing priorities while staying organized and focused. You’re also proficient in using the tools, technology, and software needed to support effective and creative communications. A Driver’s Licence for the Province of British Columbia is required.Pay Rate: $39.14 per hour + 12% in lieu of benefits (2024 Rates)
$41.93 per hour + 12% in lieu of benefits (2026 Rates)Location: Deer Lake 1Hours of work: This is an auxiliary position, hours and shifts are based on operational requirements and do not provide guaranteed hours of work.
