- Review, analyse, and profitably underwrite new and renewal business for the Risk-Managed Equipment Breakdown portfolio in accordance with the Company's underwriting and compliance guidelines.
- Develop bespoke insurance solutions for new and existing clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key broker partners and clients, which include periodic external broker visits.
- Work closely and establish strong business partnerships with internal stakeholders; including engineering, inspections, claims, and corporate underwriting to better service clients.
- Represent HSB Canada externally at Regional and National industry functions.
- Provide training and coaching to less experienced team members.
- Contribute to various assigned projects, ensuring successful completion and alignment with team goals.
- A College or University degree/diploma or equivalent is required.
- Professional certifications such as CIP and/or CRM are considered an asset.
- 3+ years' experience in technical underwriting of large Equipment Breakdown risks.
- Strong proficiency in pricing methodologies and experience with manuscript wordings.
- Exceptional marketing and relationship-building abilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other MS Office applications.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel as required.
