Job Title: Database Administrator
Location: Scarborough, Ontario
Duration: 6-12 MonthsIntroductionWe are seeking an experienced professional to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of mission-critical Oracle databases, and to manage and optimize Amazon RDS (Oracle/PostgreSQL/MSSQL) and Amazon Redshift clusters with a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK.Required Skills & Qualifications

4–7 years as an Oracle DBA with 3 years on AWS data services.
Hands-on experience with Amazon RDS (Oracle/PostgreSQL/MSSQL) and Amazon Redshift administration.
Expertise in monitoring (CloudWatch, Performance Insights), performance tuning, and cost optimization.
At least one certification in Oracle (OCP) and one in AWS.
Proficiency with AWS CDK (TypeScript or Python), CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines.
Prior work experience at the client or in the client's industry.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Oracle 19C, 26i
AWS RDS
Data Guard, RMAN, RAC

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Strong hands-on with Oracle 19c, RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, ASM, OEM.
Provision and manage RDS instances/clusters (instance classes, storage autoscaling, Multi-AZ, parameter/subnet groups).
Implement monitoring/alerting via CloudWatch, Performance Insights, Enhanced Monitoring; tune connections/queries.
