Closing Date: April 23, 2026Position SummaryWhile you may be assigned to a specific team, you will be expected to contribute to the successful functioning of all teams, to ensure safe, timely and accurate radiation therapy of all patients. The radiation therapist may participate in one or more of a range of activities within the full scope of radiation therapy practice. You will be expected to demonstrate and maintain expert knowledge of state-of-the-art radiation therapy techniques and technology to ensure safe, timely and accurate radiation therapy of patients. You will demonstrate expertise in patient assessment and supportive care, including:Duties
- Patient education and symptom management.
- Create and maintain a safe and supportive environment for a variety of learners, including students and colleagues as they engage in education and continuous practice improvement activities.
- Expectations for academic contribution will be greater in key areas of individual expertise.
- Practice in accordance with the CAMRT competency profile and CMRITO standards of practice and legislated regulations. Contribution to a high standard of care will be measured through knowledge and utilization of departmental protocols and professional standards of practice.
- Graduate of a recognized Radiation Therapy training program
- Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Commitment to integrated approach to education, research, and clinical practice
