Accounting Manager
Work Setup: Onsite (In-office)About the Role:

Our client is looking for an Accounting Manager who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and dive in. In this role, you will lead a small team, manage financial operations, prepare reports, and ensure the day-to-day accounting processes run smoothly. This is your chance to make a real impact in a dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, invoicing, and related transactions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support the annual budgeting process by providing historical data and working papers.
  • Assist with year-end audits by ensuring records and systems meet auditor expectations.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and recommend financial policies and procedures.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, cheque requests, bank deposits, purchase orders, payroll support, and invoicing.
  • Perform month-end reconciliations and assist with month-end closing activities.
  • Audit accounting records and manage general expense controls.
  • Assist with setup and maintenance of customer and vendor accounts.
  • Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of accounting staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, including 2+ years leading a team in a financial management role.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and currency conversion.
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Preferred:
  • CPA designation (completed or in progress).
  • Experience in freight forwarding, transportation, or logistics.
  • Familiarity with UFOS Transport and Warehouse Software.
