- An undergraduate degree and/or post-secondary training in environmental science, social science or a similar field of study is preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
- General knowledge of the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Act, as well as Yukon First Nations and First Nations Agreements, is required.
- Experience managing complex projects is required.
- Experience supervising a team is required.
- Experience working in a First Nation government is considered an asset.
- Managing and supporting all projects assessed in the Watson Lake Assessment District.
- Maintaining relationships with proponents, Government of Canada, First Nations and Yukon Government.
- Ensuring that participants understand the assessment review process and how to best participate in that process
- Managing the operations of the Designated Office and providing support, guidance, and supervision to staff.
