ABOUT THE ROLEAggregate plant millwrighting involves the installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of stationary industrial machineryWHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Promotes a positive safety culture through leadership by example.
  • Performs all work activities following all relevant safety policies/procedures ensuring alignment with the company's vision and critical success factors.
  • Required to read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Millwrights install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
  • Responsible to install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls.
  • Will be responsible to assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
  • Tasks require bending, kneeling, climbing multiple flights of stairs, lifting up to 50lbs, working in tight areas and in a dusty environment.
  • Millwrights operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery.
  • Also operate machine tools such as drills and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • All applicants must have their Industrial Mechanic Millwright certification from the college of trades or their interprovincial red seal certification
  • Problem solving, Technical, Creative, Organized (Lominger Competency)
Additional Requirements:
  • Participate in plant safety including performing risk assessments before each job
  • Maintain good attendance
  • Complete scheduled work on-time
  • Provide feedback to the Maintenance Supervisors for work improvements
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (“PPE”).
