Company: Shermco CanadaAbout the RoleShermco Canada is hiring a safety-focused Instrumentation Technician (Commissioning) to support work on the BHP Jansen Project. This role involves commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems in a large-scale industrial environment.What we Offer

Responsibilities:
  • Commission instrumentation and control systems
  • Perform loop checks, system integration, and startup activities
  • Install, calibrate, and maintain field instrumentation
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, wiring, and control system components
  • Diagnose and repair transmitters, valves, switches, and related devices
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Maintain accurate test records and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with safety, company, and client standards
  • Support site safety programs and participate in inspections
  • Mentor apprentices and support team development
Qualifications:
  • Red Seal Journeyperson (Instrumentation) or related Technologist Diploma
  • Commissioning and/or industrial experience is an asset
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable record
  • Strong communication skills
  • Relevant safety certifications are an asset
Working Conditions
  • Industrial work environment with exposure to weather and site conditions
  • Work around energized equipment
  • Overtime as required
