
Municipal Project Manager

- Job Description
- Lead and manage project teams through all phases of conceptual and detailed design of municipal civil projects including rural and urban roads, sewers, watermains, drainage, etc.
- Manage project resources, schedule, budget, quality management and project risk assessment on behalf of CIMA+ to meet client expectations.
- Prepare and supervise engineering studies, environmental assessments, reports, calculations, plans and contract documents, cost estimates, and construction documents.
- Lead and assist in the pursuit of new projects, including the development of technical scope workplans, schedule, project team organization, and task-level budgets.
- Build relationships with existing and potential clients; liase with clients, consultants, regulatory and utility agencies, project stakeholders and contractors.
- Coordinate and mentor intermediate and junior staff on fundamentals of project delivery and general project management skills.
- Profile
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in municipal design projects.
- P.Eng. designation in Ontario (or eligibility for transfer).
- Specific experience with municipal infrastructure and road design in Ontario is a requirement.
- Previous experience managing municipal projects.
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and documents, e.g. plans and profiles, specifications, etc.
- Ability to manage and prioritize several assignments at one time in order to deliver on time and within budget.
- Strong working knowledge of Civil3D or Bentley InRoads, as well as of various software packages (Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets).
- Highly meticulous nature, strong attention to detail.
