- Checks forklifts for proper performance and inspects equipment to detect faults and malfunctions on Caterpillar, Jungheinrich, Mitsubishi, Kalmar, Manitou, Toyota, Raymond et Hyster models
- Diagnoses faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
- Adjusts equipment and repairs or replaces defective parts, components or systems
- Tests repaired equipment for proper performance and ensures that work meets manufacturers' specifications
- Cleans, lubricates and performs other routine maintenance work on equipment
- Post-secondary education
- Diploma in vocational studies in automobile mechanic or diploma in automated systems
