
Senior Coordinator, Internal Communications

- Work closely with internal stakeholders (such as firm leadership, functional leaders, industry, and service line leaders) to execute our internal communications strategy and tactics
- Support the design and implementation of key enablers of our communications strategy, such as:
- Implementing enhanced channel guidelines for communications creators
- Enhancing the usability and usefulness of existing communications platforms
- Piloting new communications tools to nurture community, capitalize on efficiencies, and maximize the value of MNP’s matrixed environment
- Advocate for consistency of messaging and brand across all communications and channels
- Support the development and rollout of an effective cascade mechanism to deliver consistent messaging and communications throughout the firm’s regions
- Assist in measuring and reporting the impact of our communications strategy, channel effectiveness, and tactics
- Seek feedback from partners and team members to help adjust our communications approach accordingly
- Develop communications artifacts (such as SharePoint Online pages, FAQs, key messages, etc.) for firm initiatives, as needed
- Contribute to the development of presentations for organizational events such as Operations meetings, Clients and Services meetings, and the firm’s AGM, as needed
- 3+ years of experience as a communications lead, with significant emphasis on strategically delivering internal communications outcomes
- Diploma or undergraduate degree in communications, information synthesis, design thinking, or another related field
- Experience working with digital and video means of communication, including Microsoft 365 suite (especially Teams and SharePoint Online)
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to edit and proofread communications
- Proven attention to detail and project management skills, with the ability to get buy-in and support for projects from diverse stakeholders
- Understanding of change management principles and practices, and how to apply them to execute communication enhancements
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with senior executives and provide communications counsel
- Capability of working effectively in a matrix organization, and a willingness to help team members and work as a team
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to interact with team members in other time zones across the country
- Any of the following would be considered an asset:
- Experience working with an internal communications team for a large organization
- General journalistic or marketing experience
- Experience in making recommendations and advising senior managers
