We think about the customer and make doing business with McCain easy.We are currently seeking Forklift Operators, Cold Storage area in our Portage la Prairie, MB plant. These are 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule that include both days and nights.Duties:
Working under the direction of and reporting to the Shift Supervisor and/or Lead Hand.
Safely and proficiently operate propane/electric forklifts, pallet jack and skid steer loader.
Properly place/withdraw product in freezer following procedures to maximize space and follow stock rotation.
Properly expedite orders.
Provide help to other areas of distribution as required.
Accurately relate/maintain all required documentation.
Perform all duties in a safe, accurate and efficient manner.
Perform housekeeping in work area to established standards.
All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:Physically capable of performing all required duties:
Lifting, pulling, pushing, shoveling, climbing and piling of all types of materials as required.
Work in extreme temperatures, high humidity and dusty conditions.
Function in a noisy environment and wear hearing protection.
Work with all required safety equipment.
Forklift Certificate and demonstrated safe proficiency working with all forklift attachments.Ability to work on a rotating shift basis. * Demonstrated mathematical ability through the successful completion of a written test.
Ability to read small print under normal freezer lighting conditions.
Demonstrated proficiency working with WMS.
Satisfactory employment record.
