We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our Manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, repairing, and reworking complex electromechanical assemblies while ensuring compliance with NASA and IPC standards.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble products according to work instructions (MCRs), MIs, and technical drawings.
- Review and interpret drawings, work orders, specifications, instructions, and wire lists.
- Perform assembly, repair, and rework of complex electromechanical systems.
- Ensure compliance with NASA-STD 8739.4, IPC J-STD-001, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
- Support the sales, operations, and production team with technical revisions for quotes and contracts.
- Maintain accurate records of product shipments and documentation.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment.
- Operate tools and equipment safely, following manufacturer guidelines and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Maintain system files and track assembly documents.
- Ensure all tasks meet customer delivery deadlines.
- Handle cables and reels (lifting 50-70 lbs. when required).
- Prepare necessary tools and materials for assembly.
- 5 + years of experience in Electro-Mechanical assembly.
- College Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Technology.
- Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation preferred.
- Prior experience in the aerospace industry or similar.
- Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) (preferred) in:
o J-STD-001 Space Addendum (Space Applications Electronic Hardware).
o IPC/WHMA-A-620 (Cable & Wire Harness Assemblies).
- Qualified or able to qualify to perform crimping and inspection per NASA-STD 8739.4.
- Strong Electronics & Mechanical background, including assembly and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Immense attention to detail
- High standard of workmanship
- Proficiency in hand tools, soldering, crimping, and measurement equipment.
- Excellent manual dexterity.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.
Successful candidates must:
- Obtain and maintain security clearance at the Reliability Status level.
- Pass a Controlled Goods Program (CGP) security assessment.
